Mungiki

The recent killing in cold blood of 24 Kenyans by the outlawed mungiki sect is sad, unexplainable, unjustified and outright wrong. The mungiki are justifying this massacre with the killing of their own some days ago. Where is the police? Is this a nation that has gone to the dogs? Are we facing anarchy? I beg to differ. Ours is a govt.that has failed it's people.

A government's mandate among many other things is to protect her citizens. This Govt.and many before it has failed and continues to do so. Is a country as good as it's leaders? I do not believe that Kenya is in anarchy despite us taking the Law into our own hands more than once. I do however view it as a precursor to an uncontrolled society-God forbid. I hear all the time that mungiki is an outlawed sect, why then do they continue to terrorize the rest of us?

I have argued over time that mungiki is predictable. You attack one of their own they sure as hell will retaliate (as if it is a right) Shouldn't the govt.have watched out for the signs? You bet. You would think security would have been beefed up in this area and it's environs? Granted, there was no way to know where they would have staged their attack-they were going to anyway.

Ponder this for a moment. Why did the residents of Gathaithi, Nyeri choose to take matters into their own hands? Is it their frustration with this govt.? Is it justified? Are we supposed to regroup and form vigilantes against each other? Are we not still healing the wounds of the violence that rocked Kenya 07-2008.

My condolences go out to the bereaved families.

Stay safe.

Tabia mbaya

Walking about and spitting is a bad habit, actually it is disgusting. I saw this chic spit and its like she had something else to accompany the spit it was so disgusting that i struggled to swallow my coke...this should be done in the privacy of one's house and at least in the absence of your relatives or roommates unless of course they subscribe to like mannerisms.

Shoe Throwing

You would think this is redundant-A journalist throwing a shoe at a minister in India.
It was funny when Bush ducked it (how well he did that) not anymore. Makes you think it was probably the best thing he did while in office.

A few questions,
1. Do you then go and get your shoe back or does one bring more than a pair?
2. What if you are taken in by authorities (read dragged) is it not embarasing when you have one shoe on and probably torn socks?

Happy Easter y'all.

Domestic violence.

They say that when it's raining and the sun is out the devil is beating his wife.

I don't know how much she pisses him out, but he does seem to beat her a lot-don't get me wrong there is no justification to wife beating.

April Fools'

What an uneventful April fools' day, did not prank anybody.

One of my girlfriends' shares the news of her engagement....giving the rate at which this is happening, she almost got me....

Did you get pranked?

Haraka haraka haina baraka

Am driving thru' a gas station, well not exactly i was there to gas up.

The usual motions-swipe card, hit grade and alas! Wrong grade, was not hoping to pay for the most expensive gas available. If my car were human, i would have been a recipient of a bear hug and a million kisses.

Mvinyo

So the other evening am hoping to enjoy a glass of wine from my usual, boy was the drink sobering.......i might as well have had cranberry or strawberry juice if i wanted a red drink.

Back to my usual wine-you know what they say, better the devil you know than the angel you don't!
